Medical Centers in Austin-San Marcos

Looking into the combined population of Austin and San Marcos, there are around 800,000 people in the area. This shows that there is much to look forward to in terms of the welfare of the public. Since both communities are linked by the Interstate 35, people from Austin may run to San Marcos for public programs and services or it may be the other way around.

As part of the concern of both cities for each other, their respective local governments established several programs catering to the needs of the public. The county departments of Travis and Hays have something special to offer to all of the residents in these two areas. One of the most important things that the local government looks into is the provision of health care programs.

Part of Austin and San Marcos’ commitment to its people is the establishment of hospitals and medical centers. These venues make everybody seek medical treatment for any illness. Each hospital – public or private – is created for a specific field of medicine. Public hospitals usually offer free services while private hospitals charge a fee for the use of their medical facilities.

The Travis County and Hays County public health departments give people of Austin and San Marcos the privilege to take a peek at all pertinent health information in the community. They provide a list of clinics and hospitals where people may run to in cases of emergency. They also have a list of immunization services rendered to the public for free.

Aside from those listed in the public health departments of these two counties, the following hospitals and medical centers are found in Austin and San Marcos. They are private hospitals with the necessary medical facilities that a person needs. Some happen to offer free services as well.
