It was in 2002, when BYU’s center player Rafael Araujo became banned from playing international basketball after being caught of using the steroid known as androlone. This happened during the 2002 World Championships held in Indianapolis. This was quite a stir that caused a lot of people in the city to panic. Young as he was back then, Araujo had to serve the penalty because of steroid dependence.
Steroid use is prevalent in most teenagers who are active in sports. They use it as a stimulant or an energizer to play not knowing that it will cause them some issues later on.
