Effects & Myths about Blood Types on Our Life
Generally, there is nothing wrong with blood types. Its just there and you can work and live normally whatever blood type you have. However, it becomes relevant when there are emergency cases where blood donation is necessary. Also, blood types become relevant when you are looking for a mate to be your lifetime partner. It is important that your blood types will match so that your offspring will live healthy lives.
When we talk of emergency cases, it is necessary that the right blood type will be donated when a person is loosing blood or needs organ transfusion. If it is about blood donation, here are some of the myths that need to be noted.
Some people believe that their blood is common so anybody can take their blood. This is untrue. Blood type comparability is important even though your blood type is common. The universal recipient of blood is type AB. The universal donor is type O. However, it is not advisable that a person with blood type O will receive a blood type A, B, or AB. Although type O is a universal donor, it does not necessarily follow that a blood type O recipient gets other blood type. Blood type O recipient needs to receive type O only and none other.
Apart form the above myth, there are other myths that correlates blood types and personality or characteristics. In which case, the myths can sometimes be a basis of finding the right mate instead of purely looking at blood type compatibility. Medically speaking, couples should have matching blood types so that the baby will have healthy life. Mismatch of blood type will cause the baby to have low immune system and therefore live in unhealthy life.
Aside from the medical perception, there are myths about blood types that determine if a person is worth loving and accepting. The myths below describe the characteristics of the person with the particular blood type:
• Blood type O – The person is very motivational and has the tendency to control the situations especially grouped ones.
• Blood type A – The person with this type has the tendency to be uptight when things go wrong or when there is mix up or deviation in the schedule. What determines this blood type is by being attentive to details and pleases others.
• Blood type B - The person with this blood type is pushy and loud.
• Blood type AB – The person with this blood type has the tendency to create ideas but can be contradictory most of the time.
These myths on blood types originally come from Japanese beliefs. This has become popular enough that most people embrace such myths. Of course, since these are myths, these are not generally accepted and have no scientific basis.
Overall, knowing the blood type is necessary for emergency cases or medical reasons or health. Other than this, a person is defined by his personal values based on the environment where he grew and the innate personality.
