I just want to tell that there is a drug test with 90 day history by all means that you can still detect the drug abuse in this time frame. Here is the link for that hair drug test.

I have a history of drug abuse and a 17 year old brother with recent drug abuse. The signs you are describing are unfortunately tells. I would simply ask your son this:

"(Name)I understand that I've been prodding lately, and if I'm wrong I am so very sorry. I want you to know I love you, and I'm wondering if you could do me one favor. I do trust you, but to put my own mind at ease since I can be paranoid, would you mind taking an at-home drug test for me? I figured since you are not on drugs you won't mind showing me so that I can sleep better at night..."

Or something along those lines. Make yourself out to be the 'weird/paranoid' mother. If he reacts rapidly and angry (i.e. 'I can't believe you don't trust me! No I won't take any tests, f* that') you can be sure he is. If he agrees to take the test but wants to wait three/four days, you should still be concerned as it will leave his body by then. Have the test ready if you are serious about it. If he is not, he will most likely give you some negative feedback about not trusting him, but be agreeable to taking the test on the spot. Hope this helps.

Hello,

I have a 17 year old and sometimes I am unaware if he is on meth or night. I trust in him that he make the right decisions and told him this. I see a few things that may pinpoint to s and s like isolation from family. Sometimes he doesn't like to go to family functions like birthday parties, however, he always has been shy also and not to long ago my son and I went through a big ordeal-we were living in the city and had our life going for us but something happened to me, I lost my job and everything we established like our house that we enjoyed we had to sell and I was very disappointed and depressed about that. At that point I don't know if my son was using or not but I remember he got very skinny. Somehow I don't think he was though. Today he dresses so carellessly and sometimes he'll wear the same clothes for two consecutive days but he will catch himself and talk about it somewhat. He does take a shower daily, but never good with his teeth, His teeth look very bad, I don't know if that is from drinking energy drinks or what. So I need help? I don't want to keep provoking, I feel like that's what I'm doing sometimes, probably because he says it.
