Sometimes, the result of a pregnancy test and its announcement can turn out to be funny. After all, when a child is wanted, no event is as joyful as breaking the news that a new bundle will be added to the family.

If you found out that you were expecting a baby through a pregnancy test, how did you announce it to the world?

Homework

There was this couple who referred to their attempts to conceive as their “homework” and called each attempt as “doing their homework.” Eventually, the day came that she tried to check if their efforts were working through a pregnancy test. The result was positive.

When he got home, she handed him a report card that listed his “grades” for doing the homework: Love, A+; Attitude, A+; Desire, A+; Commitment, A+. On the comments box, she put down, “Congratulations on the perfect grade, Daddy!”

An Unexpected Result

A couple had been trying so hard to have a baby for years. They went to several doctors for help in conceiving, but the doctors they went to could not do anything for them. They also took several pregnancy tests that all came out negative. Nonetheless, they never gave up.

Then, the two of them decided that perhaps it is time that they try getting some fertility drugs to help them have their baby. They made the appointment, and she showed up at the clinic.

At the clinic, the doctor asked her what she thought were routine questions about her medical history. They certainly sounded routine to her. The doctor also made her lay down on a table and did an ultrasound test on her. As it turned out, the couple did not need any fertility drugs – she was already pregnant.

Finally Given Up

An army of doctors have told this couple that they simply will never be able to have children. The reasons all had to do with her. She was having some major issues with hormonal imbalance and was prone to ovarian cysts. The doctors also told them that if ever they did manage to conceive, she would not be able to carry the baby to full term because the lining of her uterus is too thin to support the fetus.

So they gave up on trying to conceive and have children. Because of her hormonal imbalance, it became normal for her not to have her menstruation for a number of months at a stretch. It was nothing to her but a quirk of her body that she has come to accept.

One day, her mother-in-law and sister-in-law came to visit the couple. The first thing they noticed was that she has gained some weight. The couple simply shrugged it off. The sister-in-law, however, had her suspicions, as she has had babies of her own. So she bought her a pregnancy test.

She tested her pee and came out surprised. She told her husband, who could not believe it. On that same day, they made an appointment with a gynecologist who did some tests. The gynecologist announced that the weight gain was the result of her being five months pregnant without knowing it.
