Hormones are important in our body because they act as messengers, travelling to tissues and organs. The endocrine glands such as the pituitary gland, thyroid, thymus, adrenal glands, and the pancreas are responsible for producing hormones that the body needs. It is essential that the endocrine glands produce the right amount of hormones so that the body can function properly.

Men and women produce hormones in the same endocrine glands except for the reproductive organs. Men produce male hormones in the testes, and women produce female hormones in the ovaries. Hormone imbalance can cause serious health issues like diabetes and other illnesses when not addressed. Hormone imbalance can be experienced anytime in your life.
